"SAKI"

A daughter of English import Multi BIS & BISS Aus Gr Ch Overhills Swift of Fut "Dodger", Saki followed well in the footsteps of her sire and proved to be a top winner in her own right.

Saki excelled in the breed ring and won numerous Specialty Challenges and also won a Best Exhibit in Show at the 2001 NSW Akita Club Speciality.

A striking silver/fawn colour Saki had a head to die for and her movement around the ring was effortless. She proved very successful under International judges and this showed in wins such as Best of Breed at both the 1999 & 2002 Sydney Royal Shows.

Always parading a wicked twinkle in her eye, Saki loved her role as matriach of the Darqhorse stable & we loved her for it.

Although 12 when taken from us her departure was sudden & unexpected. She was the epitome of an Akita bitch and even in her twilight years lost none of her dignity nor condition.

She was too much of an Akita to be anything other than dignified & proud and she is so sadly missed.

Her departure leaves the door open for a new matriach to reign at Darqhorse but she will always remain the queen in our hearts.
